1. Overview

The following Privacy Policy informs you about the type and scope of the processing of so-called personal data by Douglas Service GmbH.

Personal data is information that can be directly or indirectly assigned to your person. When you access the website/application of Douglas Service GmbH, various information is exchanged between your device and our server. This may also include personal data. The information collected in this way is used, among other things, to display the contents of the website to you and to prevent access by unauthorized persons.

3. Purposes of data processing, legal bases and legitimate interests pursued by Douglas Service GmbH or a third party as well as categories of recipients

3.1. Accessing our website

When you visit our website/application, information is automatically sent to the server of our website by the browser used on your device and temporarily stored in a so-called log file. It is beyond our control. The following information will be collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted after seven days:

  • the IP address of the requesting internet-enabled device
  • the date and time of access
  • the name and URL of the retrieved file
  • the website/application from which the access was made (referrer URL)
  • the browser you are using and, if applicable, the browser you are using. the operating system of your internet-enabled computer and the name of your access provider

The legal basis for the processing of the IP address is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest results from the purposes of data collection listed below. At this point, we would like to point out that we are not able to draw any conclusions about your identity from the data collected and that we do not draw any conclusions about it.

The IP address of your device as well as the other data listed above are used by us for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection
  • Ensuring comfortable use of our website/application
  • Evaluation of system security and stability as well as
  • Other administrative purposes

3.2 Investor Relations Newsletter Shipping

On our website, you can subscribe to a free newsletter with information about investor relations if you have expressly consented to receive it. To avoid misuse, you will first receive an e-mail with a confirmation link, which you must activate in order to receive the actual newsletter (so-called double opt-in procedure).

When you register for the newsletter, your e-mail address, your IP address and the date and time of your registration will be transmitted to us and stored and processed by us. Your data will only be used to prove your consent to receive and send the newsletter. To send our newsletter, we use the service provider EQS Group AG, St. Annenufer 5 / Block Q, 20457 Hamburg, which processes your data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions (so-called processor according to Article 28 GDPR) and who has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your rights.  

Your data will be stored for as long as we send you the newsletter on a regular basis. In the event that we no longer send you a newsletter, we will delete your data. Please note that you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending us an email to ir@douglas.de or by pressing the Link for termination which can be found in each newsletter.

3.3 Contacting DOUGLAS Service GmbH

You have the opportunity to get in touch with us in different ways. This includes, in particular, contacting us by e-mail. The data processing that takes place in the context of contacting us may serve different purposes, depending on the content of your message. As a rule, we store and process the data provided in order to be able to process the matter about which you have contacted us. The legal basis for the processing of your data in the context of contacting us is your consent (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR). Your data stored in connection with the contact will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required and insofar as it is not subject to statutory retention obligations. The assessment of whether storage is required is carried out at least annually. For certain tasks, we may engage third-party service providers to process data (e.g., data centers, recruiters, or service providers). Whenever  DOUGLAS Service GmbH cooperates with such service providers, they are obliged to observe data protection in the same way as we do by means of contractual agreements.

3.4 Integration of third-party content

We have integrated third-party content in some places on our website. These are videos. In connection with the integration of this content, it is technically necessary for us to provide your IP address to the third parties offering the content so that they can display the content to you. We do not store your IP address for the purpose of integrating third-party content. The third-party providers may use your IP address, the use of cookies and other technologies (e.g. pixel tags, i.e. invisible graphics) to use your IP address. Understand your surfing behaviour and, in addition to your IP address, process further technical information (including browser type/version, operating system used, the page you previously visited, the  host nameof the accessing device and the time of day as well as other information on the use of our online offer).

The legal basis for the processing of your data is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR if you have given us your consent. 

You can find out more about this in the privacy settings under "More information". Click on "Privacy Settings" to give or withdraw your consent or to object to certain processing of your data. If you have given us your consent here, you can revoke it at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent before its withdrawal.

4. Your rights

4.1 Overview

In accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, you have various rights that you can assert against us. This includes, among other things, the right to object to selected data processing, in particular data processing for advertising purposes. In addition to the right to revoke the consent you have given to us, you are entitled to the following further rights if the respective legal requirements are met:

  • Right to information about your personal data stored by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR
  • Right to rectification of incorrect or correct data in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR
  • Right to erasure of your data stored by us in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR
  • Right to restriction of the processing of your data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR
  • Right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or place of work or our company headquarters.

4.2 Right to object

Under the conditions of Art. 21 (1) GDPR, data processing may be objected to on grounds relating to the particular situation of the data subject.

The above general right to object applies to all processing purposes described in this privacy information that are processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. In contrast to the special right to object aimed at data processing for advertising purposes, we are only obliged to implement such a general objection under the GDPR if you give us reasons of overriding importance (e.g. a possible danger to life or health). In addition, it is possible to contact the supervisory authority responsible for DOUGLAS Service GmbH, the data protection officer or datenschutz@douglas.group.

 

5. Changes to this Statement

If we introduce new products or services, change Internet procedures or if Internet and IT security technology evolves, the "Privacy Policy" must be updated. We therefore reserve the right to amend or amend the statement as necessary. We will publish the changes here.
